Garden Center & Produce
Justice-involved men at NERCC grow and harvest food for the corrections facility to eat year round. This produce is also available for sale to the public.
Our Spring / Summer Greenhouse will open May 1st for the 2025 Season.
The NERCC Greenhouse is where the men grow flowers and a variety of vegetables. As seeds turn to plants, we expand to two hoop houses which are FULL and open to the public for retail purchase. Visit our Facebook page for updates on the greenhouse.
Autumn Produce & Hay
The men work in the fields, using machinery and harvesting potatoes, pumpkins, and even hay. All of these are available for purchase in season.
Seasonally available, NERCC sells corn stalks, hay (round bales and square bales), pumpkins, and holiday wreaths. We also sell cabbage, potatoes, and other produce.
Carpentry + Welding at NERCC
The campus has a full carpentry shop which the residents use for making repairs around the NERCC facility. They make products to sell in our retail area such as bird houses, bat houses, garden signs, cribbage boards, cutting boards, and even sheds. Here, they learn to hone their skills as carpenters by repairing and building things.
